The TAFISA Triple AC Program, supported by the IOC, was launched in 2012 and is open to all cities and communities around the world.

At first a platform aiming at providing cities and communities with networking possibilities, certifications and awards for their programs, events and other good work that helps to increase participation in Sport for All and physical activity, it has now become a comprehensive program offering inclusive solutions.

Since June 2014 and the incorporation of the SportCityNet project toolkit, supported by the European Commission, cities and communities can find on this website:

  • A comprehensive description and definition of the evidence-based “5 Key Success Areas” to become an Active City;
  • A set of good practices in the 5 Key Success Areas;
  • Practical tools in the form of a step-by-step approach based on the successful experience of the City of Liverpool, tailored to help cities develop their “Active City Strategy”.

We hope that you will find these diverse elements useful in your own context, and look forward to hearing from your good experiences: share with us your good practices; do not hesitate to complete the Registration & Good Practice Form!
